ICIQ-SF test

An international questionnaire doctors use to assess how often urine leaks and how much it affects life. Think about how you've been over the past 4 weeks. It takes about 2 minutes.

Take part in research (optional) UroWoman Kazakhstan studies how common urinary incontinence is among women in Kazakhstan. You can help by anonymously sharing your test answers and a few details about yourself. We don't ask for your name, phone or email and cannot know who you are. Without consent the test works as usual and nothing is sent.
1. How often do you leak urine?
2. How much urine do you usually leak (whether you wear protection or not)?
3. Overall, how much does leaking urine interfere with your everyday life? Selected: 0
0 — not at all10 — a great deal
4. When does urine leak? Tick all that apply to you. This question doesn't affect the score, but it helps the doctor identify the type of symptoms.

Understanding your result

The score from 0 to 21 is the sum of your answers to the first three questions. The higher the score, the more symptoms affect your life:

  • 0 — no leakage;
  • 1–5 — slight;
  • 6–12 — moderate;
  • 13–18 — severe;
  • 19–21 — very severe.

Even with a slight score it's worth discussing symptoms with a doctor: at an early stage, simple measures help — exercises and changing habits. Print your result and take it to your appointment together with a bladder diary. After 3 months of treatment you can retake the test to see the change.
